Moon Elon

Moon Elon

A recreation of the Apollo 11 landing site at Elon University's island.

Be sure to set to midnight and when you arrive, you are given moonboots (with footprints!) to wear.

Have a look for the Solar Wind Experiment, drive the Lunar Roving Vehicle, spot the TV Camera.

Find and get the info on the Laser Reflector and best of all, the Passive Seismic Experiments Package.

DynaFleur

DynaFleur - An Immersive Art Installation

This is by Douglas Story & Desdemona Enfield

Turn your volume up, music on, and set to midnight here.

Spanning an entire sim on Princeton University’s virtual campus, DynaFleur is the kind of experience that truly is possible only in Second Life.

DynaFleur presents the almost abstract close-up floral photography of Douglas Story in a very unusual way. The monumental and colourful installation is cradled by a specially commissioned landscape created by Poid Mahovlich.

As you walk (and fall) through it, you are immersed in the densely layered sound design of Dizzy Banjo which is tailored to accompany the movements of the elements of the piece that surround you, all of them moving and changing in response to your presence. This magic is powered by complex scripts written by the talented and energetic Desdemona Enfield, which in turn were based on the open-source Reflexive Architecture scripts made available by Keystone Bouchard and his group.

Hidden Fortune

Hidden Fortune

This is a cute little jewellery shop run by Cricket Sunchaser, and located in the pleasant Hidden Treasures Mall.

Here you will find some lovely fine prim jewellery that may really suit your AV.

It looks well made and is not expensive. The shop is small and well laid out.

Story Island

Story Island

Bringing Spaciousness, Respect, and Co-Creativity to Life

That is what the description for the land says, but I am not sure what this means.

Anyway, this is a nice little island with a discussion room with a lovely aspect over some adjacent homes that support solar heating and a thunderstorm!

Zero Point

Zero Point

Sabine Stonebender's latest work is a very trippy elevator ride into the digital cosmos.

"Groovy" is one comment that someone said while I was visiting. Also "mmmm" and "wow this place is the bomb"

This is a huge assult on your senses, and well worth dropping in, taking the elevator, and experiencing Sabine's work.

There is a store and the only place in Second Life to find many of the previously unseen and unsold artworks and creations. Located high in the sky for zippy fps. (take a TP)
