Ahmad Hosho

Ahmad Hosho

If you want a painting for your avatar like these, just IM: " Ahmad Hosho ", and ask him. These are hand made paintings.

Ahmad Hosho (19 Aug 2006 –now), born Ahmad Hosho, is a Yongnamian artist known for his work in painting, building, fashion, printmaking and drawing. He is regarded as one of the founders of Second Life Impressionism although he rejected the term, and preferred to be called a realist. A superb draughtsman, he is especially identified with the subject of the post modern Secondlife women, and over half his works depict Secondlife ladies. These display his mastery in the depiction of movement, as do his racecourse subjects and female nudes. His portraits are considered to be among the firsts of the history of Secondlife based art.

Early in his career, his ambition was to be a history painter, and for this his academic training and close study of Secondlife at Yongnam had superbly prepared him. Upon abandoning this project, he brought the traditional methods of a history painter to bear on contemporary subject matter, and became a classical painter of second life.

Silk Waters Mountain

Silk Waters Mountain

It's Japan in Winter ! Beautiful Japanese/Chinese styled village, Asian marketplace and the Dragon Atrium. See SL's largest Buddhas amidst the snows and mists! Explore sleazy run down Low town, and visit red light area and find the Money Tree.

If you like Yamato town in Dore and Neo Japan Tehama, you will love this wonderful snow covered town originally created by Versu Richelieu, and Jova Song, Snakekiss Noir now controls this project.

It has a lot of detail and such amazing atmosphere .. and guess what just like Tehama, its got an eastern market full of lanterns, carpets, and goods to buy..!

It's been dramatically extended across the entire sim now and into the next two, with new mist shrouded mountain-high 'Peak' areas added on.

The largest winter village in SL with exclusive housing and two areas of cheap new starter homes for new players, merchant carts and stalls and mini shops for rent.

Shuri Castle Gardens

Shuri Castle Gardens

InuYashsa Meiji project a sympathetic homage to Shuri Castle Japan.

This was not intended to be an exact copy of Shuri Castle in Japan. It is a close representation and homage to the castle and its beauty for SL.

It has a Japanese castle and shop, and gardens that are a unique creation.

This is an amazing work by a great artist who works in immense detail and is very creative and dedicated.

This is worth seeing by everyone in SL as an example of detailed building.

Note:
If your AV is too tall, seeing in some areas may be tough, when not in mouselook mode. The best thing to do is move the viewing camera closer to your AV when moving. Some people forget this is possible without a mouse wheel by hitting CTRL - 0 (Zero). It moves your camera position closer to your AV's head.

CTRL - 8 moves you away and CTRL - 9 brings you back to default. The castle is built with a real world average height. In other words for a RL AV, made to be only 5' 11"not 9+ feet tall.

Those of you with really tall AVs should try the camera adjustment. It works. And you'll enjoy the castle much better.

Giant Tea Party

Giant Tea Party Display and Chat Area

A nice build by Rinoa Rives. She is an Australian currently residing in the United Kingdom and attending University.

A good place to chat with some friends, but worth a look to see what a little imagination can do for your builds.

DynaFleur

DynaFleur - An Immersive Art Installation

This is by Douglas Story & Desdemona Enfield

Turn your volume up, music on, and set to midnight here.

Spanning an entire sim on Princeton University’s virtual campus, DynaFleur is the kind of experience that truly is possible only in Second Life.

DynaFleur presents the almost abstract close-up floral photography of Douglas Story in a very unusual way. The monumental and colourful installation is cradled by a specially commissioned landscape created by Poid Mahovlich.

As you walk (and fall) through it, you are immersed in the densely layered sound design of Dizzy Banjo which is tailored to accompany the movements of the elements of the piece that surround you, all of them moving and changing in response to your presence. This magic is powered by complex scripts written by the talented and energetic Desdemona Enfield, which in turn were based on the open-source Reflexive Architecture scripts made available by Keystone Bouchard and his group.
